What this recall means for you
A brake pedal position sensor capacitor may crack, which can cause the electronic stability control system to stop working. Without it, the vehicle is less able to help keep control during a skid or sudden maneuver, which increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles also do not meet federal electronic stability control requirements.
Dealers will inspect the brake pedal position sensor and replace it if needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed September 17, 2026. You can contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 and reference recall number 69D.
You can check whether your vehicle is affected by entering your VIN on NHTSA.gov once VINs become searchable beginning September 9, 2026, and you can also check for any open recalls using your VIN at that site.
