- Component
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
- Problem
- Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2027 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne Prestige recreational vehicles. The taillight harness may have been manufactured with an incorrect resistor. The defective harness may cause the warning light to illuminate on the instrument panel display when the taillights are functioning correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."
- Risk
- The incorrect warning light may fail to alert the driver to critical safety information or cause confusion, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the taillight harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903667.
What this recall means for you
A wiring harness for the taillights may have been built with an incorrect resistor. When the taillights are working properly, the defect can still cause a warning light to appear on the instrument panel display, which does not meet federal display requirements.
Because the warning light can be wrong or confusing, the driver may fail to notice real safety information on the dashboard, which increases the risk of a crash.
An authorized dealer will replace the taillight harness free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026. You can also contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 (Jayco recall number 9903667), and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
