What this recall means for you
Certain Altec utility and aerial work trucks may have an automatic emergency braking system that was not recalibrated after the front radar box was moved. As a result, the system may brake later than it should when it detects a hazard.
A delayed braking response increases the risk of a crash. The automatic emergency braking system is meant to help prevent or reduce the severity of collisions, so a late reaction can leave less time to stop safely.
Owners should contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832, referencing recall CSN-3356. Altec will update the collision mitigation system with revised parameters, then recalibrate and test it at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed October 16, 2026.
