Jayco Fifth Wheel Eagle Recall 26V518: Leveling Jacks May Lower During Transit, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 26V518, reported August 6, 2026, 137 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2027 Jayco Eagle, Eagle SLE, and Heartland Sundance fifth wheel trailers may have an electrical wiring issue in the integrated jack, leveler, and stabilizer controls. The auto leveling jacks may lower while the trailer is being towed.

If the jacks are lowered during transit, the trailer can be unstable and the risk of a crash increases. Owners should take this seriously and avoid towing the trailer until the repair is completed.

Dealers will install a jumper wire to correct the problem at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed August 20, 2026. You can also contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267, referencing recall number 9901665, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
