What this recall means for you
The center roof marker lights on certain trucks may fail to illuminate. These lights are required under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices, so affected vehicles do not fully comply with that standard.
When marker lights do not work, other drivers may have a harder time seeing the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.
The repair is free: dealers will replace the center roof marker light at no charge. Interim owner letters were mailed September 22, 2026, and additional letters will follow once the final remedy is available. You can contact Volvo Trucks customer service at 800-528-6586 with recall number RVXX2608, and check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov, where affected VINs become searchable beginning August 13, 2026.
