- Problem
- The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2025-2026 side loader garbage trucks equipped with certain HH Technologies ReVamp high voltage cabinets, with part number 372-9585. Water may enter an improperly sealed high voltage cabinet and cause component failure or a short circuit.
- Risk
- Electrical component failure may lead to an unexpected vehicle shutdown, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, an electrical short increases the risk of a fire.
- Remedy
- Heil will install a protective enclosure, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 28, 2026. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is PN-26-354 .
What this recall means for you
Certain 2025-2026 side loader garbage trucks have a high voltage cabinet that may not be properly sealed. Water can enter the cabinet, which may lead to component failure or an electrical short circuit.
These problems can cause the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, which raises the risk of a crash. An electrical short also increases the risk of a fire.
The repair is free. Heil will install a protective enclosure at no cost. Owners were notified by letter starting July 28, 2026.
