Orange EV Husk-E Recall 26V453: Frame rails may crack and separate, risking loss of control

NHTSA campaign 26V453, reported July 15, 2026, 24 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Orange EV trucks were built with improperly welded frame rails. Over time, these welds can crack, and a frame rail may separate from the vehicle. A detached rail can cause a loss of control, which increases the risk of injury.

The recall covers certain 2023-2024 E-Triever, 2020-2023 T-Series Tandem Terminal Truck, and 2024-2026 HUSK-e Tandem Terminal vehicles. Owners will receive notification letters expected to be mailed July 22, 2026. Dealers will inspect the frame rails and repair or replace them as needed, free of charge.

You can check whether your vehicle is affected by entering your VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup site, or by contacting Orange EV customer service at 1-866-688-5223 (Orange EV recall number 2026-SRC-02).
