Jeep Grand Wagoneer Recall 26V414: Brake software may cause loss of stability control and brake assist

NHTSA campaign 26V414, reported June 30, 2026, 11,980 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The brake system control module software in certain vehicles may cause a loss of electronic stability control and electronic brake assist. Because of this, the vehicles do not meet federal safety standards for electronic stability control and light vehicle brake systems.

Losing electronic stability control and electronic brake assist increases the risk of a crash. Stability control helps keep the vehicle under control during skids or sudden maneuvers, and brake assist helps provide the braking force needed in an emergency stop.

The repair is free. Dealers will update the brake system control module software at no charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 30, 2026. You can also contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 (recall number 50D), and check your VIN for open recalls at NHTSA.gov, where affected VINs become searchable beginning July 9, 2026.
