Diamond Coach VIP Recall 26V406: Wheelchair Retractors May Fail to Lock, Risking Movement

NHTSA campaign 26V406, reported June 26, 2026, 38 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025-2026 VIP motorcoaches are equipped with QRT-360 wheelchair retractors that may not lock. When the retractor does not lock, a wheelchair may not be properly secured inside the vehicle.

An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, which increases the risk of injury to the wheelchair user and others in the vehicle. If you own or ride in one of the affected coaches, avoid relying on the wheelchair securement system until it has been checked, and check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.

Diamond Coach Corporation will replace the retractors free of charge at an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 25, 2026. You can also contact Diamond customer service at 1-800-442-4645.
