- Problem
- International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- Risk
- An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26508.
What this recall means for you
Certain school buses have wheelchair retractors that may not lock. If a wheelchair is not properly secured, it can move during transit, which increases the risk of injury to the rider.
