Tiffin Wayfarer Recall 26V342: Hard-to-Read Load Label May Raise Crash Risk

What this recall means for you

Certain 2026-2027 Tiffin Open Trail, Wayfarer, and 2026 Midas recreational vehicles may have a Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label printed on white instead of the required color. The label is where loading and tire pressure information is shown, and the incorrect color may make that information harder for the operator to find. The vehicle also does not fully meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 for wheels and rims.

The concern is that an operator who cannot easily locate loading or tire pressure information could overload the vehicle or run incorrect tire pressures, which increases the risk of a crash.

If you own one of these vehicles, Tiffin will replace the label free of charge through authorized dealers. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026. You can contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661, referencing recall WAY-107, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
