Forest River R-Pod Recall 26V336: Loose Shock Bolts Can Detach and Create Road Hazard

NHTSA campaign 26V336, reported May 26, 2026, 200 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain trailers equipped with Curt Touring Coil Suspensions may have had their shock bolts incorrectly tightened at the factory. As a result, the broken shock retainer bolt heads and washers may detach from the suspension while the trailer is in use.

If these parts come loose, they can fall onto the road and become a hazard to other vehicles, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the shock bolts free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 6, 2026. You can contact Forest River customer service to confirm your trailer is included: Cedar Creek at 1-260-593-4000, R-Pod at 1-574-642-3119, or Riverstone at 1-260-593-4028, referring to recall number 51-062. You should also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
