- Problem
- Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The front camera wiring harness may not be connected properly, which can cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
- Risk
- A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

- Dealers will inspect and reconnect the wiring harness, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 9, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 47D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 28, 2026.
What this recall means for you
Certain vehicles have a front camera wiring harness that may not be connected properly. If it is not, the rearview camera image may fail to appear on the screen. This means the driver has a reduced view of the area behind the vehicle, which does not meet the federal rear visibility requirements.
Without a working rearview image, a driver may not see people, children, or objects behind the vehicle when backing up, which increases the risk of a crash.
The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the wiring harness and reconnect it as needed. Owners who received a notification letter mailed June 9, 2026 can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403, referencing recall 47D. You can also check whether your vehicle's VIN is involved by searching NHTSA.gov.
