Wabash Platform Trailer Recall 26V323: Trailers May Lack Reflective Tape, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 26V323, reported May 20, 2026, 721 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019-2023 Transcraft and 2024-2026 Wabash platform trailers may not have had conspicuity tape installed at the factory. The tape makes the trailer easier for other drivers to see, and these trailers do not meet the federal lighting and reflective device requirements of FMVSS 108 as a result.

Without the tape, the trailer can be harder to see for other drivers, especially at night or in low light, which increases the risk of a crash.

Wabash will provide the conspicuity tape free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. You can contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404, and you should check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
