Ford Odyssey Recall 26V318: Wheelchair Tie-Downs May Not Lock, Risking Movement

NHTSA campaign 26V318, reported May 20, 2026, 6 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain transit vehicles equipped with Turtle Top wheelchair securement systems have retractors that may fail to lock. As a result, a wheelchair may not be properly secured during travel.

An unsecured wheelchair can move while the vehicle is in transit, which increases the risk of injury to the wheelchair user and others on board. If you own or operate one of the affected vehicles, do not rely on a retractor that does not lock; keep the wheelchair secured in another safe manner and contact the dealer as soon as possible.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the retractors and replace them as necessary at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026. You can also contact Turtle Top customer service at 1-800-296-2105, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
