What this recall means for you
Certain 2026 Vespa motorcycles in the Officina 8 color were built without the required warning on the convex mirrors. The warning, which says objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, is missing, so riders may misjudge how far away other vehicles are. This can lead to unsafe lane changes or maneuvers and raises the risk of a crash.
If you own an affected motorcycle, Piaggio Group Americas will install new mirrors that carry the warning message. The repair is free. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 18, 2026. You can contact PGA customer service at 212-380-4400 or [email protected].
You can also check whether your VIN is involved by searching it on NHTSA.gov, where affected VINs will be searchable beginning May 18, 2026.
