What this recall means for you
On certain 2025 and 2026 Altec AM Series aerial devices, the emergency stop switch at the turntable may not work when the upper controls interlock is active. When the emergency stop is pressed, the upper and lower controls can stay powered, so the boom cannot be shut down as intended.
Because the emergency stop may fail to halt the equipment, the risk of injury is increased for anyone operating or working near the vehicle in an emergency. Owners should check whether their vehicle is covered by this recall.
Altec will mail owners instructions to check for an adapter harness. If one is installed, notify Altec and no further action is needed. If not, Altec will provide a free repair kit. Owner letters were mailed June 9, 2026, and you can contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 (recall number CSN-3307). Repairs are free at an authorized dealer, and you can also check your VIN for open recalls.
