What this recall means for you
A rear brake line on these motorcycles may contact the Body Control Module (BCM). Over time this can wear a hole in the line, causing brake fluid to leak and the rear brakes to stop working.
Losing the rear brakes raises the risk of a crash. Owners should have the repair done as soon as possible.
Harley-Davidson will replace the BCM caddy and associated hardware, and inspect the rear brake line, replacing it along with associated parts if damaged, all free of charge at an authorized dealer.
