Volvo VNL (4) Recall 26V184: Instrument panel may fail while driving, hiding speed and warnings

NHTSA campaign 26V184, reported March 25, 2026, 115 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The instrument panel in certain vehicles may fail while driving. When this happens, the display may stop showing critical safety information such as the speedometer and warning lights. The vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 for controls and displays.

A display that fails to show speed or warning lights raises the risk of a crash, because the driver may not notice a dangerous condition or know how fast they are going.

Authorized dealers will replace the instrument panel clusters free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2026. You can contact Volvo Trucks customer service at 800-528-6586, and you can check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov.
