What this recall means for you
A software error can cause the lane departure warning system on certain 2019 Audi A6, A7, and Q8 vehicles to deactivate. These vehicles were previously repaired under an earlier recall, and the problem may mean the system is not working even though the driver believes it is active.
Because the driver may not know the warning system is switched off, they may rely on a safety feature that is not functioning. This raises the risk of a crash if the vehicle drifts out of its lane and no warning is given.
Audi dealers will update the software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed March 13, 2026. You can also contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 (Audi recall number 90TW), or check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls on NHTSA.gov.
