Volvo VNL (4) Recall 26V076: Parking Brake May Not Hold, Risking Rollaway

NHTSA campaign 26V076, reported February 10, 2026, 800 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Volvo VNL trucks from model years 2024 through 2027 that do not have auxiliary parking brakes may have inadequate parking brake force when the vehicle is in weight bias mode. This is because there may not be enough weight on the parking brake axle.

Inadequate parking brake force can allow the vehicle to roll away, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected by entering their VIN on NHTSA.gov, where involved VINs are searchable.

Dealers will replace the brake chambers free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 29, 2026. For questions, contact Volvo Trucks customer service at 800-528-6586 and reference recall number RVXX2601.
