Ducati Panigale V4 S Recall 26V050: Rear brake hose can overheat and cause sudden rear brake loss

NHTSA campaign 26V050, reported January 28, 2026, 1,440 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025-2026 Ducati Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles may have a rear brake hose, running between the ABS control unit and the rear brake caliper, that can be damaged by excessive heat. If this happens, the rear brakes can suddenly stop working, which raises the risk of a crash or injury.

Dealers will replace the thermal shield free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed March 9, 2026 should contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446 and reference recall SRV-RCL-26-001. This recall expands and replaces NHTSA recall 25V013, and motorcycles already repaired under that earlier recall still need the new remedy.

You can check whether your motorcycle is involved by entering its VIN on NHTSA.gov, where VINs for this recall became searchable on February 3, 2026. If your VIN shows an open recall, contact an authorized Ducati dealer to schedule the free repair.
