Blue Bird Vision School Bus Recall 26V032: Side and rear school bus windows may lack legible DOT markings

NHTSA campaign 26V032, reported January 22, 2026, 432 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2026 and 2027 Blue Bird Vision and All American school buses may have windows with illegible DOT markings. Because the DOT code mark is missing or unreadable, a window could be replaced with an incorrect type of glass that does not meet the federal glazing standard (FMVSS 205), which increases the risk of injury.

If your bus is affected, dealers will inspect the side and rear glass and repair the glass etching free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 19, 2026.

You can contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242 for more information. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls, and contact an authorized Blue Bird dealer to schedule the free repair.
