Genesis GV70 Recall 26V019: Instrument panel display may fail, hiding speed and fuel

What this recall means for you

Due to a software error, the instrument panel display in certain Genesis G80, GV80, G80 Electrified, GV60, GV70 and GV70 Electrified vehicles may fail. The vehicles also do not meet the federal display standard (FMVSS 101) for controls and displays.

When the display fails to show critical safety information such as the speedometer or fuel gauge, the risk of a crash increases. Until the recall repair is done, owners are advised to turn off the high definition (HD) radio feature. The audio video navigation software will be updated over the air or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters began arriving February 17, 2026, and you can contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741 with recall number 031G.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
Problem
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2025-2026 G80, GV80, 2026 G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Risk
An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or fuel gauge, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Owners are advised to disable the high definition (HD) radio feature until the recall remedy has been performed. The audio video navigation software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or inspected and updated by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 17, 2026. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 031G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 17, 2026.
