What this recall means for you
The battery isolator in certain emergency vehicles equipped with a Pran system may fail. If it does, electrical systems can be lost, including interior and exterior lighting and patient support systems.
Losing exterior lights makes the vehicle harder for other drivers to see, which raises the risk of a crash. Losing patient support systems can delay care and increase the risk of injury to patients.
Braun Service or an authorized dealer will update the software, modify the wiring, and replace the battery isolator at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2026. You can contact Braun Ambulances customer service at 1-877-344-9990, and you should check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
