Gillig LOW Floor Recall 25V913: Loose Rear Axle Fasteners Could Cause Loss of Control

NHTSA campaign 25V913, reported December 29, 2025, 97 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2025 Gillig Low Floor transit buses may have had the upper torque rod fasteners on the rear axle improperly tightened. A loose torque rod can contact and damage other axle components.

Damaged axle parts can reduce stability and vehicle control, which raises the risk of a crash. If you operate or own one of these buses, watch for any owner notification letter from Gillig, which was mailed January 26, 2026, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.

Gillig will replace the torque rod fasteners free of charge. Contact Gillig customer service at 1-800-735-1500 to arrange the repair.
