RAM 2500 Recall 25V882: Driver Airbag and Stability Control May Fail to Work

NHTSA campaign 25V882, reported December 18, 2025, 52,565 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error in the occupant restraint controller module can cause the driver's side air bag and/or seat belt pretensioner not to deploy in a crash. The same error can also disable the electronic stability control (ESC) system. Driving with ESC disabled raises the risk of a crash, and a driver's air bag or pretensioner that does not deploy raises the risk of injury in a crash.

The remedy is a free software update to the occupant restraint controller module, performed by an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed January 15, 2026. If you have questions, you can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 and reference recall number C3C.
