International LT Recall 25V806: Vehicle May Shift Out of Park Unexpectedly, Risking a Crash

NHTSA campaign 25V806, reported November 20, 2025, 11,418 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023-2026 International LT and RH trucks may fail to recognize when the parking brake is applied, so the automatic neutral function does not shift the transmission into neutral. The transmission can then stay in gear, allowing the vehicle to move unexpectedly.

An unexpected movement increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be cautious around the vehicle and take care to confirm the transmission is in the correct position when parking.

International will replace the quick release valve on the rear axle at no cost through authorized dealers. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 9, 2026, and you will get another notice once the remedy is available. You can also call International customer service at 1-800-448-7825 (recall number 25524) or check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov, where involved VINs will be searchable beginning January 12, 2026.
