- Problem
- Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Starcraft Starlite, Allstar XL, Allstar, StarTrans Senator II, Mobility Trans Safetbus, Glaval Universal, Forest River Van, Elkhart Coach, Eldorado, Candidate II, 2025 StarTrans Senator II HD, Glaval Entourage, Champion Bus, and 2026 StarTrans P/S2 transit buses equipped with certain QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- Risk
- An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River Bus customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River Buses number for this recall is 51-2001.
What this recall means for you
Certain wheelchair securement systems in these buses, the QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max restraints, have retractors that may fail to lock. As a result, a wheelchair may not be properly secured.
An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, which increases the risk of injury to the wheelchair user and others on board. If you own or operate one of the affected vehicles, contact Forest River Bus customer service at 1-800-348-7440, referencing recall number 51-2001. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2025.
Authorized dealers will inspect the retractors and replace them as necessary, free of charge. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
