RAM 1500 Recall 25V765: Driver Airbag May Not Deploy in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 25V765, reported November 6, 2025, 532 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2021-2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks have a steering column control module that may keep the driver's side air bag from deploying as intended. The vehicles also fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 for occupant crash protection.

If the driver's air bag does not deploy properly in a crash, the risk of injury to the driver goes up. Owners should not assume the airbag will protect them as designed.

The repair is free. Dealers will replace the steering column control module at no charge. Owners who received a notification letter, mailed beginning December 11, 2025, can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 (recall number 14C). You can also check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov, which became searchable beginning November 13, 2025.
