- Problem
- Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Chrysler Pacifica, 2022-2025 Toyota Sienna, and 2022-2026 Honda Odyssey vehicles equipped with wheel chair restraint retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- Risk
- An unlocked wheelchair can move during transit or during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 23, 2025. Owners may contact Q'Straint's customer service at 1-800-987-9987 or Braun's customer service at 1-800-488-0359.
What this recall means for you
Certain minivans with wheelchair restraint retractors installed by Braun Corporation may have restraints that do not lock. If the restraint does not lock, a wheelchair may not be properly secured during driving.
An unlocked wheelchair can move during transit or during a crash, which increases the risk of injury to the wheelchair user and others in the vehicle. Owners of affected vehicles should take this seriously and arrange a repair promptly.
The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the wheelchair restraint retractors and replace them as necessary at no charge. Owners who received notification letters mailed December 23, 2025 can contact Q'Straint customer service at 1-800-987-9987 or Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.
