Kia's number for this recall is SC355. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 13, 2025.
What this recall means for you
Some vehicles were built with an incorrect temporary spare tire. When that spare is installed, it can impair the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS), so the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 for tire selection and rims.
When ABS or traction control does not work properly, the risk of a crash increases. Stop using the spare for normal driving until the correct one is installed, and have your vehicle checked for open recalls using your VIN at NHTSA.gov.
Dealers will replace the spare wheel and tire assembly free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2025. For help, contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 and reference recall number SC355.
