Carry-ON 6X8GW2KPT Recall 25V734: Incorrect axle weight label could lead to trailer overloading

NHTSA campaign 25V734, reported October 24, 2025, 7,088 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024, 2025 and 2026 Carry-On 6X8GW2KPT trailers have an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label. The label does not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 567, which governs certification labels.

Because the label lists the wrong axle weight rating, you may load the trailer beyond its safe limit without realizing it. An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash.

Carry-On Trailer will mail replacement labels to owners free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2025. If you have one of these trailers, contact Carry-On Trailer customer service at 1-706-356-5379 to request your replacement label, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
