Ford Econoline Recall 25V726: Blower Motor May Fail, Blocking Windshield Defrost

NHTSA campaign 25V726, reported October 24, 2025, 6,909 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) blower motor in certain 2026 Ford Econoline vans may fail. When it does, the windshield defrosting and defogging system can stop working.

Without working defrost or defog, the windshield can fog or frost over, which reduces the driver's visibility and raises the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the HVAC blower motor assembly free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed January 30, 2026 can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25SB4). You can also check your vehicle's VIN on NHTSA.gov for open recalls.
