NHTSA campaign 25V706, reported October 16, 2025, 22 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain fire trucks built on Spartan chassis have a cab door latch whose actuator lever arm may bind or become wedged. When this happens, the door cannot be opened from the inside or outside.

A door that cannot be opened may trap occupants inside the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury, especially in an emergency.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the door latches and replace them as necessary at no charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed November 7, 2025, should contact Alexis Fire customer service at 1-309-482-6121.
