- Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2026 Heartland Bighorn and Jayco North Point fifth wheel travel trailers. The murphy bed mechanism may fail, causing the bed to fall unexpectedly.
- Risk
- A murphy bed that falls increases the risk of injury or death.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the murphy bed mechanism with a new designed mechanism, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901639.
What this recall means for you
Certain travel trailers have a murphy bed mechanism that may fail, causing the bed to fall unexpectedly. A falling bed raises the risk of injury or death for anyone near or beneath it.
If you own an affected trailer, an authorized dealer will replace the murphy bed mechanism with a newly designed part at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025.
