What this recall means for you
Some Altec A-Class aerial lift vehicles may have platform retaining plate bolts that were not properly tightened during assembly. Loose bolts can allow the retaining plate or platform to come off, creating a road hazard for other drivers and raising the risk of a crash. The platform may also detach from the boom tip while it is raised with workers on board, which could cause serious injury or death.
If you own an affected vehicle, Altec will send instructions for inspecting and tightening the retaining bolts. Altec will also provide any missing hardware at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed November 5, 2025. For questions or to confirm your vehicle's status, contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 and reference recall number CSN-3253. Owners can also check their VIN for open recalls.
Do not operate an affected vehicle with the platform elevated until the inspection and tightening are complete.
