What this recall means for you
Certain utility and specialty truck bodies built on these vehicles may have an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the vehicle certification label. Because the listed rating may not reflect the true limit, the vehicle can be loaded beyond what its axles are designed to carry without the owner realizing it.
An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash, since it may handle, brake, and steer less predictably than intended. Owners should be careful not to exceed the weight limits shown on the certification label until the correction is made.
The remedy is free. Altec will inspect the certification label and replace it if needed, at no cost to owners. Owners who received a notification letter mailed November 7, 2025 can contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832, referencing CSN-3251. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
