Jayco Fifth Wheel Seismic Recall 25V578: Wrong axle weight label could lead to overloading and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 25V578, reported September 4, 2025, 75 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The certification label on certain trailers lists an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Because the label gives the wrong limit, an owner who relies on it could accidentally overload the trailer, which increases the risk of a crash.

If you own an affected trailer, do not rely on the axle weight rating printed on the current certification label until it has been corrected. Check your load against the correct limits and avoid overloading the trailer. Contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9901638 to request the corrected labels. Jayco will mail the replacement labels free of charge. Owner letters for this recall were mailed September 23, 2023.

You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls on the NHTSA website. Recall repairs and label replacements are provided at no cost to the owner.
