What this recall means for you
This recall covers a 2024 Ford Mustang whose instrument panel cluster was repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall. The cluster may fail to illuminate at startup or while driving, so the display may not show important information such as warning lights or vehicle speed. The vehicle also does not meet two federal safety standards that govern controls and displays and transmission shift lever sequence.
When the instrument panel does not show critical information, a driver may miss a warning or not notice how fast the car is going, which increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy is free. An authorized Ford dealer will update the instrument panel cluster software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 12, 2025. You can also contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25C35), and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
