What this recall means for you
Certain vehicles have a software logic error that can cause the daytime running lights to dim unexpectedly when the idle start-stop feature shuts the engine off and restarts it. The dimming can confuse other drivers and pedestrians about your vehicle's position and movement, and this reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash. The vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
The remedy is a free software update to the engine control module, performed by an authorized Nissan dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed September 17, 2025. If you have questions, you can contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
