- Problem
- Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2018-2019 X3-45 Commuter vehicles not equipped with optional perimeter lighting. The entrance door window glazing material is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."
- Risk
- The incorrect window glazing material may reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Prevost will replace the entrance door windows, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 10, 2025. Owners may contact Prevost's customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR25-22.
What this recall means for you
Certain 2018-2019 Prevost X3-45 Commuter buses that are not equipped with optional perimeter lighting have an entrance door window made with the wrong glazing material. The material does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 for glazing materials.
Because of the incorrect glazing, the driver's visibility through the entrance door may be reduced, which increases the risk of a crash.
Prevost will replace the entrance door windows at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 10, 2025. To get the repair or ask questions, call Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046, and check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
