- Problem
- Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2015-2025 Utilimaster Truck Body vehicles. The signal converter may fail, which can cause the brake lights and turn signals to become inoperative.
- Risk
- Inoperative turn signals and brake lights can fail to alert other road users to the driver's intentions to turn or stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Shyft will inspect and repair the signal converter connecters as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-16.
What this recall means for you
A signal converter in certain Utilimaster truck body vehicles may fail, which can cause the brake lights and turn signals to stop working.
When the brake lights and turn signals are inoperative, other drivers and road users may not see that you are slowing, stopping, or turning. This increases the risk of a crash.
Shyft Group will inspect and repair the signal converter connectors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025.
