Blue ARC BA4L-800 Recall 25V447: Parking Brake May Fail to Hold, Allowing Rollaway

NHTSA campaign 25V447, reported July 2, 2025, 150 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A spacer in the parking brake caliper may be too large, creating an increased air gap. This can stop the parking brake from engaging properly, so the vehicle may roll away when parked, raising the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free: Shyft Group will replace the brake calipers at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in July 2025. Owners can also contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806 and reference recall number 25-17.

Until the repair is done, check that the parking brake holds the vehicle before leaving it, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
