Orange EV Husk-E Recall 25V445: Loose Bolt Can Cause Electrical Arcing and Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 25V445, reported June 27, 2025, 20 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A previous repair on certain Orange EV HUSK-e terminal trucks installed a washer that is the wrong size in the thermal fuse bolted joint. This can cause the bus bar connection to loosen or open, which may create electrical arcing and increase the risk of a fire.

If you own a 2023, 2024, or 2025 HUSK-e, check your VIN for open recalls. Owners who had the earlier repair under Recall 25V367 are affected by this follow-up recall. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 4, 2025.

The correctly sized washer will be installed free of charge. For more information, contact Orange EV customer service at 1-866-688-5223 and reference recall number 2025-SRC-05.
