Great Dane Champion Recall 25V429: Roll-up door may move too fast and injure someone

NHTSA campaign 25V429, reported June 26, 2025, 444 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The roll-up door operator bolts on certain 2026 Champion dry van trailers may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the door can stick and require more force to open or close, and it may then move too quickly.

A door that moves too fast can strike or pinch people nearby, which increases the risk of injury. Keep hands and body clear of the door while it is operating and avoid forcing it if it feels stiff.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will tighten the operator bolts at no charge. Owners were mailed notification letters on August 15, 2025. You can also contact Great Dane customer service at 1-877-369-3493, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
