Forest River Sabre Recall 25V424: Exterior griddle can catch fire if stowed while gas-connected

NHTSA campaign 25V424, reported June 20, 2025, 78 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers certain 2026 Sabre fifth wheel recreational trailers. The exterior griddle may have been installed incorrectly, so it can be stowed while still connected to the LPG (propane) supply.

Stowing the griddle while it is connected to LPG increases the risk of a fire. If your trailer is affected, do not stow the griddle while it is connected to the gas supply until the repair is done.

Authorized dealers will install self-tapping screws to properly secure the griddle to the shelf, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 11, 2025. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100 (recall number 62-1943), and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
