What this recall means for you
Certain 2025 Subaru Forester vehicles may have child seat anchor bolts that were not tightened properly during assembly. Over time, these bolts can come loose, which weakens the child seat's attachment to the vehicle.
If a loose anchor bolt fails during a crash, the child seat may not stay secured as intended, increasing the risk of injury to a child riding in it. Owners with a child seat installed in the affected position should take this recall seriously.
The repair is free. Authorized Subaru dealers will inspect the child seat anchor bolts and tighten them if necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 15, 2025. For questions, contact Subaru customer service at 1-844-373-6614 and reference recall WRC-25. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
