Tesla Model Y Recall 25V410: Seat Fasteners May Be Loose, Risking Occupant Restraint in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 25V410, reported June 18, 2025, 48 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2026 Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles may have seat back fasteners that were not tightened properly. The fasteners attach the seat back to the seat bottom, and if they are not secure, the seat may not properly restrain the occupant.

This creates a higher risk of injury to the person sitting in the seat during a crash. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked promptly.

Tesla Service Centers will inspect the seat assembly fasteners and tighten or replace them as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 16, 2025. You can contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752, and you can check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
