Ford Ranger Recall 25V399: Dash Warning Lights and Fuel Gauge May Not Display Correctly

NHTSA campaign 25V399, reported June 13, 2025, 45 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2025 Ford Ranger trucks have an instrument panel that was not configured properly. As a result, many warning lights and gauges may not display correctly, including forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, traction control, roll stability, and the fuel gauge, distance to empty, and fuel economy readings. The vehicles also do not meet federal safety standards for controls and displays and for electronic stability control systems.

Because the instrument panel may not clearly show critical safety information, the risk of a crash is increased. Drivers may not be alerted to a problem with a system meant to help prevent or reduce the severity of a collision, and fuel readings may be inaccurate.

Dealers will update the instrument panel software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2025. You can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 25C23, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
